Marcus Fraser, born on the 23rd of June in 1994 (now a seasoned professional at 31), hails from Scotland and was trained in the defensive arts. Mainly deployed as a central defender for St Mirren, Fraser stands tall at 6ft (1.84m) and weighs 12st 12lb (82kg). He defends his club's honour in the number 22 jersey.
Our history with Fraser began in July 2012, when, still very much a fledgeling player, he joined Celtic in Scotland's Premiership as a trainee. His debut season, which was from 2012 to 2013, saw Fraser make his first team appearance in the league: a solitary cameo from the bench.
Two years later, in September 2014, Fraser sought pastures new. He exchanged the highflying nature of the Premiership for the grassroots feel of the Lowland League in Scotland when he transferred to Cowdenbeath on loan. During this season, he took to the pitch on 11 occasions in league matches, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to honing his footballing skills.
As 2015 dawned, Fraser's time at Cowdenbeath came to an end. Once again on the move, he transferred from Celtic to Ross County, who compete in Scotland's Championship. This kick-started a fruitful association with Ross County for Fraser. His stint witnessed four successive seasons (2014-2018) where his league appearances climbed from an initial 16, climaxing at 38 appearances for the 2017-2018 season. Fraser also produced two goal-scoring performances in the 2014-15 and 2019-20 seasons.
In July 2020, the defensive stalwart took the decision to part ways with Ross County and join St Mirren in Scotland's Premiership. Since this switch, Fraser has displayed a model of consistency, making upwards of 30 appearances each season, and contributing an occasional goal with some seasons. As of 2025, he has racked up two appearances in the current season.
In addition, Fraser has also been entrusted with League Cup and Scottish Cup duties for St Mirren, with four and two starts respectively.
