Marcus Dackers, born on the 9th of January 2003 in Wales, is a forward known for his powerful striking at Kilmarnock. With an imposing physique at 6ft 7in (2.01m) tall and weighing 14st 9lb (93kg), Dackers dons the number 9 jersey for the team. The Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at around £120k.
Dackers' journey began with Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League, before he made the move to Salford City of the League Two in July 2021. At Salford City, Dackers managed to make only a total of five first-team appearances in his debut season. However, by January 2022, the Welsh striker took a loan to Chester in the National League North, before returning to Salford City in June the same year, appearing again five times.
During the 2022-2023 season, Dackers was loaned out to Southend United in the National League. It was there that he managed to make a significant contribution by netting the ball thrice in his six league appearances. Yet, this streak was short-lived, terminating his loan and returning to Salford City in October 2022. The pattern continued with subsequent loans to Woking and Altrincham in the National League, where he managed to flaunt his scoring ability, particularly at Woking where he struck twice in 11 appearances.
A noteworthy change occurred in Dackers' career in January 2024, when he repeated his loan move to Southend United. Scoring three goals in six first-team appearances, he once again showcased his potential. However, post his tenure, he once again found himself back at Salford City, only to be loaned to Morecambe in the National League in August 2024.
For Dackers, a significant turning point came in July 2025 when he bid goodbye to Salford City and the numerous loan cycles to join Kilmarnock, marking his first venture into Scottish football. So far, Dackers has made 12 first-team appearances for the Scottish Premiership side in the current 2025-2026 season, managing to find the net once in league matches. Dackers notably helped Kilmarnock in their League Cup campaign the same season, scoring two goals in four starts and one substitute appearance.
