Macaulay Tait, born in Scotland on the 27th of August 2005, now 19 years of age, is a footballer who plies his trade as a central midfielder for the club Hearts. Standing at a modest 5ft 6in (1.7m) and weighing in at 11st (70kg), he currently commands the field in the number 25 jersey.
According to Transfermarkt, Tait carries a current estimated market value of around €200k, which when converted into pound sterling, rounds off at approximately £170k. As it stands, his contract with Hearts is set to run for another 3 years and 7 months, with the present terms expiring at the finale of May in the year 2028.
In his debut season with Hearts (2023 - 2024), young Macaulay Tait made a dozen first-team appearances, marking his arrival in professional football. In the current season (2024 - 2025), circumstances have thus far prevented him from making any appearances in the first team.
In terms of competition outside the league, Tait proudly donned the Hearts jersey twice as a substitute in the Scottish Cup for the 2023 - 2024 season. He also made a single appearance as a substitute in the Conference League for the 2024 - 2025 season. Although Tait has yet to spend a good deal of time on the field, his potential is clear, and it remains a matter of when - not if - he will make a more significant impact for his club.
