Luis Palma, a Honduran forward born on 17 January 2000, currently plays as a left winger for Lech Poznan. His diminutive stature - standing at 5ft 8in (1.75m) and weighing 11st 2lb (71kg) - is no indication of the sheer power he commands with his number 77 jersey on the field. Palma also proudly flies the flag of his motherland as a representative of the Honduras national team.
The value of such talent is not lost on the market with a current market value hovering around about £3m, according to Transfermarkt.
Never one to be tied down, Palma has transferred clubs a few times. It all started with a move from Vida in Honduras to Aris FC in Greece in January 2022. No transfer fee details were released, but Palma left his teeth marks in the Super League during his time there.
After a single appearance in the third season, Palma transferred from Aris FC to Celtic for an estimated fee of £3.4m in August 2023. He joined the Scottish Premiership bearing the hopes and dreams of the Celtic faithful on his familiar number 77 jersey.
While at Celtic, Palma's maiden season on Scottish soil saw him net seven goals in 28 appearances. The following season's appearances were fewer but no less significant to the player or the club.
In a plot twist, Palma was loaned to Olympiacos in Greece in February 2025. Though he only made eight appearances, his return to Celtic at the completion of his loan spell in June of the same year was met with a tangible level of anticipation and excitement.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Palma was again on loan, but this time to Lech Poznan in Poland in July 2025. In the 2025 - 2026 season, Palma has so far made 25 appearances, knocking in six goals for the Ekstraklasa League team.
Palma's prowess has not gone unnoticed on the international platform. Notably, he has already made his mark in the Europa League Qualifiers 2025 - 2026 for Lech Poznan with two starts. He also showcased his abilities in the Champions League Qualifiers 2025 - 2026 for Lech Poznan with two starts and one substitute appearance. In addition, Palma delighted fans in the Conference League 2025 – 2026 for Lech Poznan, netting two goals from nine starts and one appearance as a substitute.
Despite all his moves and loans, it is clear Luis Palma leaves an indelible imprint wherever his career path leads him.
