Luis Palma, a nimble-footed forward trumpeted from Honduras, was born on the 17th of January, 2000. He has, up to now, carved out an illustrious playing career positioned primarily as a left winger, with much of his prowess seen during his stint with Celtic. Of average height, standing at 5ft 8in (1.75m) tall and weighing 11st 2lb (71kg), he bears an uncanny resemblance to a traditional Celtic forward, lean yet muscular.
Palma's career shift to Europe happened in January 2022, when he waved goodbye to Vida in Honduras, swapping it for Aris FC in the Greek Super League, for an undisclosed fee. His time at Aris FC saw a gradual exposure to first team football, with notable growth from 11 to 29 appearances between the seasons 2021 - 2022 and 2022 - 2023, and a healthy return of 13 goals.
In August of 2023, Celtic came calling, scouting out a deal of approximately Β£3.4m to whisk Palma away from the sun-drenched shores of Greece to the more unpredictable climes of Scotland. During the 2023 - 2024 season, Palma truly began to leave an impression. The attacking maestro carved out 28 first-team appearances at Celtic, notching up a decent tally of seven goals. In the ongoing season 2024 - 2025, he's already clocked up eight appearances, mirroring his efforts from the year prior.
However, there was another twist to his Celtic tale. In February 2025, a swift loan agreement carried him back to Greece, this time to Olympiacos. So far, he's already featured eight times for his new side in the current season.
Palma's exploits in the green and white of Celtic haven't been limited to domestic football. He made significant contributions in the Champions League 2023 - 2024 campaign, punching in two goals from five appearances. In the subsequent season, he showed his versatility, appearing thrice in Europeβs top-flight contest, and also managed to feature twice in the League Cup competition - once as a starter and once as a substitute.
