Born in Scotland on the 23rd of August, 1996, Liam Henderson, now 28 years of age, is a midfielder plying his trade for Falkirk as a central defensive midfielder. His current market value sits at a humble £80k according to Transfermarkt, and his contract at Falkirk, as it stands, will run until the 31st of May, 2028.
Henderson's footballing journey has seen him transferred all over Scotland. Fresh from Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, he was loaned out to League One side Stenhousemuir in July 2015. In his debut season of 2015/2016, he made 11 first team appearances and netted one goal in league matches.
He continued his travels from Hearts and completed a move to Falkirk (also in the Premiership) in July 2016. During his stint until the 2025/2026 season, Henderson made quite the impression, with 22 first team appearances and two goals in the 2022/2023 season, and 35 first team appearances with six goals in the 2024/2025 season. In the current '25/26 season, he has graced the field 2 times thus far.
While at Falkirk, Henderson was loaned out twice; to Lowland League's Cowdenbeath in January 2017 and to Edinburgh City in League Two in November of the same year. Henderson's relentless movement continued as he then transferred from Falkirk to Edinburgh City in the League Two division on a permanent basis in January 2018. Stopping at Edinburgh City only long enough for seven matches, he was then transferred to Stirling Lions in the Australian NPL. His time in Australia was brief, as he transferred back to Edinburgh City in August 2018
Fast forward to July 2021, Henderson transferred from Edinburgh City to Arbroath in the Scottish Championship, and in July 2022, he moved from Arbroath back to his current team, Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership. There, he continued to impress, repeating his impressive runs from earlier seasons in the 2022/2023 and 2024/2025 period. As mentioned, in the ongoing 2025/2026 season, he has participated in two first team league games.
Adding to his notable appearances in league matches, Henderson also attended the Scottish League Cup for Falkirk with five starts, and began once for Falkirk in the Scottish Cup in the 2024 - 2025 season.
