Liam Henderson, with his birth date on 23 August 1996, hails from Scotland and is a notable midfield force. As a central defensive midfielder, he continues to display his mettle on the field for Falkirk. Standing tall at 1.91 metres (6ft 3in) and weighing 77 kilograms (12st 1lb), his prominent figure adds to his striking presence on the field. However, it's not just his physique that has earned him his fame, but also his skill on the field, which he exhibits donning the number 5 jersey.
Henderson's services have been retained by Falkirk until 31st May 2026, leaving another year and four months on his current contract. He jumped ship from Hearts to Falkirk in July 2016, following a loan stint at Stenhousemuir the previous season, during which he featured in 11 first team appearances and scored his starting goal.
Henderson began making strides at Falkirk during the 2022-2023 season where he marked his place in 22 first team appearances and scored two goals in league matches. This trajectory has only been upwards since then; in the current 2024-2025 season, he has made 24 first team appearances so far, already netting four goals.
However, the journey has not been without its diversions. In January 2017, Henderson was loaned out to Cowdenbeath, followed by another loan to Edinburgh City in November the same year. A stint in the NPL in Australia with Stirling Lions also forms part of his diverse experiences in football, before he finally returned to Scotland with Edinburgh City in August 2018 for an undisclosed fee. He was then back on the move, transferring to Arbroath in July 2021 and finally returning to Falkirk in July the following year.
His talents have been utilised well by Falkirk in their cup fixtures. During the League Cup 2024 - 2025, Henderson found the back of the net in six appearances, and made his mark with single start in the Scottish Cup 2024 -2025 for Falkirk.
