Lewis Miller was born on 24 August 2000, in Australia. Now 24 years old, this behemoth of a right-back defender currently plies his trade at Hibernian Football Club. Standing at 6ft 1in tall (1.87m) and weighing a solid 13st (83kg), Miller is a tangible presence on the field. He can be readily recognised, wearing the number 2 jersey, a testament to his reliability as a defender. Also holding the honour of representing the Australian national team, Miller's career has been on a steady upward trajectory.
His entrance into professional football originated when Miller joined the Central Coast Mariners in Australia's A-League in July 2017. During the 2018-2019 season, he was only starting to find his footing and made just two first team appearances in league matches. The following season, in 2019-2020, he gained much more pitch time with 17 first team appearances. In the next season, he appeared in 12 matches, showing a consistent presence in the Mariners' defence. But it was his 2021-2022 season that gave him his most noteworthy stint yet with the Mariners - starting in 21 matches and even managing to chalk up a goal.
In July 2022, Miller packed his bags and switched from the Mariners to Macarthur FC, another A-League side. However, that stint was surprisingly short-lived as he soon found himself on a plane to Scotland. The same month, he joined Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership for an undisclosed fee. His inaugural season in Scotland saw him making 12 first team appearances in league matches.
The 2023-2024 season saw Miller predominantly featuring in the first team, marking 21 appearances and scoring twice in the league for Hibs. Currently, in the 2024-2025 season, Miller continues to prove himself a valuable addition to the Hibs' defensive line-up, with 31 first team appearances and a solitary goal.
Off the league pitch, his performances have been impressive too. In the 2024-2025 League Cup for Hibernian, he made an impression scoring two goals in five starts. The same season's Scottish Cup saw him start in two games. In a broader footballing spectrum, he has also donned the Australian colours in the World Cup Qualifiers Asia 2024 - 2026. Miller has proven his worth in this international arena, scoring two goals in seven starts and making his presence known even as a substitute.
