Born on the 4th of January in 1994, the Italian goalkeeper, Leonardo Fasan, paints a relatively checkered picture throughout his football career. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches (1.88m) and weighing 12 stone 12 lbs (82 kg), Fasan brings a solid presence to the goal line.
In July of 2013, Fasan made his move to Celtic, in the Scottish Premiership. His time with Celtic saw him predominantly residing within the reserves, a bench warming fate familiar to many a promising goalkeeper within the immense shadows of the club's first-line options.
In January 2017, Fasan was loaned out from Celtic in the Premiership in Scotland to Port Vale in the English League Two. His debut season, 2016 - 2017, at Port Vale saw him make ten first team appearances in league matches, a healthy progression from his stint in Celtic's reserves.
August of 2017 heralded Fasan's transfer from Celtic to Bury, England's Lower Leagues. As Bury's new guardian of the goal, he managed to make 15 first team appearances in league matches in the 2017 - 2018 season. Sadly, his transfer from Bury to Premiership contenders Kilmarnock, in January 2018, saw a reduction in his match appearances, managing only three first team appearances in the same season.
In July 2018, another season another transfer, Fasan found himself moving from Kilmarnock in Scotland's Premiership to Falkirk, in the Scottish Championship. As it stands, however, the destination of his transfer in June 2019 from Falkirk has remained undisclosed.
Despite the shifting sands of his career, Fasan's journey offers a narrative quite telling of the life of a football player, where resilience, adaptability, and the passion for the game write the most intriguing stories.
