Born on the 9th of August 1997 (aged 28), Leon Bailey hails from the sunny environs of Jamaica. As a proud forward who often graces the field as a right winger for the renowned Italian football team, Roma, he has forged a notable path in the world of football. Bailey is most definitely a presence on the pitch, standing tall at 5 feet 10 inches (1.78m) and weighing in at a robust 12 stones and 1 pound (77kg). His presence reverberates beyond the club level, having also pulled on the national jersey for the Jamaican team.

In August 2015, Bailey bid goodbye to AS Trenčín of the Slovak First Football League and embraced the challenges of the Pro League in Belgium, having made his transition to Genk for an undisclosed fee. During his 2015 - 2016 season at Genk, Bailey took to the pitch in 25 league matches and netted four goals. His 2016 - 2017 season saw him make 19 appearances, resulting in the net being troubled on two occasions by our man Bailey.
January 2017 marked another significant transition for Bailey as he moved from Genk, to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, Germany's top-flight league. During his stint at Bayer Leverkusen from 2016 to 2021, Bailey made a series of appearances in league matches, scoring numerous goals along the way.
In August 2021, Bailey moved his football artefact from Bayer Leverkusen and The Bundesliga to grace the Premier League in England where he joined Aston Villa for an approximate transfer fee of £29 million. Here, he enjoyed a rich vein of form, making scores of appearances and claiming a decent tally of goals.
However, in what was a loan deal of sorts, Bailey yet again shifted borders to join Roma in Italy's Serie A in August 2025. The current 2025 - 2026 sees Bailey in decidedly new colours, but his time in the Italian capital remains in its fledgling stages as he is yet to make any significant appearances in the league.
Internationally, Bailey's services have been utilised by his home nation Jamaica, including World Cup Qualifiers for North & Central America between 2024 and 2026. His Gold Cup 2025 appearance also resulted in a start that saw him add to his international goal tally.
