Lazar Samardzic, born on 24 February 2002 (age 24), is a Serbian attacking midfielder now with Atalanta. His market value is around £17m, according to Transfermarkt.
The main substance of his club career came at Udinese. Across three seasons there, he made 93 league appearances and scored 13 league goals, giving him a proper run of Serie A football rather than the usual scattered minutes of a developing midfielder. His best league return came in 2023-24, when he scored six times in 34 appearances.
Atalanta is his current club, where he remains listed primarily as a central attacking midfielder. In 2026-27, he has made one Serie A appearance and two more in Conference League qualifiers, bringing him to three appearances in all competitions for the season.
He has also been involved with Serbia, making seven appearances in European World Cup qualifying this season. His career to this point is largely built on that Udinese spell, with Atalanta now the next stage rather than the part that explains him yet.
