Lawrence Shankland was born on the 10th of August, 1995 in Scotland and currently stands at the age of 30. As a forward, he chiefly plays as a striker for Hearts, donned in the number 9 jersey. In a rotating spell of loans, Shankland moved to Greenock Morton in the Championship in January 2017 where he made 16 first team appearances and scored four goals in league matches. Ayr United was his next port of call in September 2017, where he boasted a striking record of 16 goals in just 18 appearances.
His sojourn led him to Dundee United in July 2019 and then onto Beerschot, Belgium in the Challenger Pro League in August 2021 for a fee of approximately £1.1m. Across these clubs, Shankland made a solid contribution, appearing regularly and netting a steady flow of goals.
However, his journey brought him back home to Scotland when he joined Hearts in the Premiership under an undisclosed fee in July 2022. His stint over the next few years with Hearts saw him consistently rack up appearances and net a remarkable number of goals across multiple seasons, including a fantastic form in the current 2025-2026 season.
