Kyogo Furuhashi, born on 20 January 1995 in Japan, is as of this writing a 30-year old player who occupies the forward position, primarily as a striker, for Birmingham City. Of modest stature, Furuhashi stands at 5ft 6in (1.7m) and carries a weight of 9st 12lb (63kg), adorned in the celebrated number 9 jersey. He also represents his home country, Japan, in their national football ensemble.

Furuhashi commenced his football career in the professional realm in January 2017, joining FC Gifu in the Lower Leagues of Japanese football. During his debut season with FC Gifu, Furuhashi made 24 first team appearances and found the back of the net on five occasions in league matches.
His performance garnered the attention of Vissel Kobe, a club residing in Japan's prestigious J1 League. The forward secured a £140k move to the club in July 2018. The 2021-22 season saw Furuhashi appear 20 times in the first team standings, scoring 12 goals in the process. His performances improved further in the following season, bagging 27 goals in 36 appearances. In the 2023-24 season, Furuhashi made 38 appearances, scoring 14 goals. His last season (2024-2025) at the Parkhead witnessed 10 goals in 22 appearances.
Furuhashi's time at Celtic drew to a close in January 2025, as he departed for Rennes in France's Ligue 1. The transfer marked a new chapter in his career and came with a hefty £10m price tag. With Rennes, he made six first team appearances in the latter half of the 2024 - 2025 season.
The ensuing summer saw Furuhashi opt for a change in scenery and make the move to Birmingham City, competing in the Championship in England. His impact was felt almost immediately with 20 first-team appearances during the ongoing 2025 - 2026 season.
Off the sandlot, Furuhashi also contributed to success in the League Cup for Birmingham City, scoring once in his two appearances, and represented Japan in the 2024 - 2026 World Cup Qualifiers with two appearances coming off the bench.
