Kyogo Furuhashi, a Japanese forward predominantly used as a striker, was born on the 20th of January 1995, presently making him 31 years old. Playing for Birmingham City, Furuhashi has also represented the Japan national team. Standing at 5ft 6in (1.7m) and weighing 9st 12lb (63kg), he is recognisable on the field in his number 9 jersey.

Starting his career in January 2017 with FC Gifu in Japan's Lower Leagues, Furuhashi's debut season saw him making 24 first team appearances and scoring five goals in league matches.
By July 2018, he transferred to Vissel Kobe of Japan's J1 League, for an estimated fee of £140k. He showed consistency throughout the seasons, amassing a decent goal tally with every passing season. He made his mark in the 2021 season, making 21 first team appearances and netting 15 goals.
Furuhashi then joined the ranks of Celtic in the Scottish Premiership for around £4.6m in July 2021. His stint at Celtic proved fruitful as he found the back of the net multiple times each season, with the 2022 - 2023 season seeing him score a commendable 27 goals in 36 appearances. After three and a half strong seasons with Celtic, he made a considerable move to Rennes in France’s Ligue 1 for approximately £10m in January 2025. Nevertheless, his stay in France was brief, as he made a mere six appearances before transferring again.
July 2025 saw Furuhashi move to English soil, signing with Birmingham City in the Championship for an undisclosed fee. In the current 2025 - 2026 season, he has made 27 first team appearances and scored one goal.
Outside of league matches, Furuhashi has participated in the FA Cup 2025 - 2026 and League Cup 2025 - 2026 for Birmingham City. Each tournament saw him start once, scoring a goal each time. His international duty saw him come on as a substitute in two of the World Cup Qualifiers Asia 2024 - 2026 for Japan.
