Kyogo Furuhashi, born in Japan on 20 January 1995, is a forward who is known for his striking prowess at Birmingham City, where he dons the number 9 jersey. Standing at 5ft 6in (1.7m) and weighing at 9st 12lb (63kg), this Japanese international has carved out a commendable career for himself.

He then transferred to Vissel Kobe in Japan's J1 League for approximately £140k in July 2018. Stretching across four seasons, he made notable progress, accumulating 95 league appearances and scoring a robust 42 goals.
In July 2021, Furuhashi's journey took him to Scotland when he transferred to Celtic for about £4.6m. It was during his years here he truly made his mark. In his inaugural season 2021 - 2022, he scored 12 goals in 20 league matches. Following this, he had a stellar run in 2022 - 2023, scoring an impressive 27 goals in 36 league matches. His momentum continued into 2023 - 2024 with 14 goals in 38 league matches. Albeit a shortened season in 2024 - 2025, he still managed ten goals in 22 league appearances.
After which, he transferred from Celtic to Rennes in France's Ligue 1 for around £10m in January 2025. However, his stint there was only brief - making six first team appearances in league matches.
In July 2025, Furuhashi moved onto his current club, Birmingham City in England's Championship, for an undisclosed fee. So far, in the ongoing season (2025 - 2026), he has made six first team appearances in league matches.
Beyond the leagues, he has also marked his performance in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 for Birmingham City, scoring one goal in one appearance as a starter and another as a substitute. Adding to this, he was a part of World Cup Qualifiers Asia 2024 - 2026 for his home team, Japan, marking two appearances as a substitute.
