Born in England on 7 February 1993, Kyle Vassell is a forward who primarily occupies the position of striker for Kilmarnock. He is 1.83m (6ft) tall and weighs 78kg (12st 3lb), and can commonly be seen wearing the number 9 jersey.
Vassell kicked off his professional career in November 2013, moving from Bishop's Stortford in England's Lower Leagues to Peterborough United in League One. Over the course of three seasons with Peterborough, he marked up 28 appearances in league matches and netted five goals.
During the 2014-2015 season, Vassell was temporarily loaned to Oxford United in the Championship, where he made six appearances and scored one goal. On the completion of his loan, he returned to Peterborough to continue his stint.
In November 2015, another loan move saw him join Dagenham & Redbridge in the National League for the 2015 - 2016 season, during which he made eight appearances. Shortly thereafter, in January 2016, he was on the move again, this time to Shrewsbury Town on loan where he chalked up 13 appearances.
A significant move came in July 2016 when Vassell transferred to Blackpool in League One. His two-season stint there saw him make a total of 52 appearances and score 19 league goals.
Vassell then moved to Rotherham United in July 2018. Despite a loan spell at Fleetwood Town in the League Two during the 2020-2021 season, he made a total of 35 appearances for Rotherham across three seasons.
January 2021 saw him move to Fleetwood Town in League Two on loan. However, in August the same year, he permanently transferred to Cheltenham Town in the League Two. This move was short-lived as, the following January, he made a cross-continental move to San Diego Loyal in the USL Championship in the USA.
His stint in the US was similarly short, and as of January 2023, he has plied his trade at Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership. Since joining Kilmarnock, Vassell has made a total of 68 appearances and scored 15 goals over three seasons. He also participated in the League Cup 2024 - 2025 for Kilmarnock making one appearance as a substitute. Additionally, he played in both the Europa League Qualifiers 2024 - 2025 and the Conference League Qualifiers 2024 - 2025 for Kilmarnock, scoring one goal in six matches.
