Australian-born Kusini Yengi, born on 15 January 1999 (which makes him 26 years old now), is a promising figure in the football scene, currently taking the forward position as a striker for Aberdeen. He stands tall at a considerable height of 6ft 2in (1.89m) and carries a weight of 14st 2lb (90kg), presenting a formidable presence on the field.

Tracing back to his humble beginnings, Yengi joined Adelaide United in the A-League in Australia in July 2018. In his initial 2019-2020 season at Adelaide United, he managed to grace the field three times for first team league matches. Perhaps adapting to the rigorous demands of the league, Yengi came back stronger in the 2020-2021 season, making 16 first team appearances and netting the ball 4 times in league matches. His final 2021-2022 season at Adelaide saw him play five times and score once.
In July 2022, he took a leap and transferred from Adelaide United to another A-League team, Western Sydney Wanderers. There, Yengi had 17 first team appearances and scored four goals in league matches during the 2022-2023 season.
Seeking new challenges, Yengi made his move to English soil in July 2023, transferring from Western Sydney to Portsmouth in the Championship for a fee of around £80k. His season at Portsmouth, however, was relatively quiet with only 14 first team appearances in league matches.
In July 2025, Yengi took the final step in his career progression to date and transferred from Portsmouth to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership. So far in the current 2025-2026 season at Aberdeen, Yengi has made four first team appearances in league matches.
Impressively, Yengi has also graced international matches, participating in the League Cup 2025-2026 for Aberdeen (scoring one goal), World Cup Qualifiers Asia 2024-2026 for Australia (scoring six goals), Europa League Qualifiers 2025-2026 for Aberdeen, and the Conference League 2025-2026 for Aberdeen, proving his versatility and passion for the beautiful game.
