Kieran Tierney, born on 5th June 1997 and now 28, hails from Scotland. Primarily operating as a left back for Celtic, the 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall defender, weighing 11st 13 lb (76kg), has also represented the Scotland national team. He has worn the number 63 jersey for Celtic. Presently, according to Transfermarkt, his market value is approximately £7m.
Tierney's association with Celtic began in July 2005 when he joined the team as a trainee. His debut season 2014-2015 saw him make two first-team appearances. This was the beginning of a linear contribution which progressively increased. The following season, Tierney scored a goal during his 23 appearances. In the 2016-2017 season, he again scored a goal after 24 appearances. His highest number of first team appearances was seen in the 2017-2018 season with 32 appearances and him scoring three goals. The 2018-2019 season saw him making 21 appearances.
In August 2019, Tierney made a move to the English Premier League side Arsenal for a fee around £25m. His time in Arsenal was eventful with a total of 15 appearances and a goal in the debut season 2019-2020. The successive season saw him make 27 appearances with a goal, and in the 2021-2022 season, he equaled his figure from the previous season. In 2022-2023, he appeared 27 times and the next season saw him making 13 appearances with a goal.
A shift occurred in August 2023 as he was loaned to the Spanish LaLiga side, the Real Sociedad. His stint there involved 20 first team appearances throughout the 2023-2024 season. In July 2024, Tierney returned to his parent club Arsenal, again marking his presence on the field by scoring goals and appearing for the club multiple times till the 2024-2025 season.
Not much later, in July 2025, Tierney found himself making a glorious return to Celtic, where his football career nurtured and blossomed. Upon his return, his record was nothing short of stellar, with 22 first team appearances and three goals in the current season 2025-2026 - showing he remains an integral part of Celtic's squad.
