Kevin Bonifazi, born on the 19th of May 1996 in Italy, is 1.87m (6ft 1in) tall and weighs 84kg (13st 3lb). He primarily plays as a central defender for Bologna. His current market value is around £268k, according to Transfermarkt.
He started his professional football journey in July 2012 when he joined Siena in the Serie C. Two years later, in August 2014, he made a move to Torino in the Serie A. He made six first team appearances for Torino in the 2017 - 2018 season, and three first team appearances with a goal to his name in the 2019 - 2020 season.
His time at Torino was interspersed with loan spells. The first was to Benevento in the Serie C in July 2015, and then to Casertana in the Serie C in January 2016. A few months later, in July 2016, he transferred to SPAL in the Serie C. Bonifazi flourished during his debut season with SPAL, making 20 first team appearances and contributing three league goals in the 2016 - 2017 season. He would return to SPAL twice more, each time delivering solid performances.
After a stint with SPAL, Bonifazi returned to Torino in May 2017. In August 2018, he was once again out on loan, this time to SPAL in the Serie C. He returned to Torino in June 2019 after having made a good impression at SPAL. In January 2020, Bonifazi transferred for an undisclosed fee from Torino to SPAL, where he had already gathered a good rapport.
In September 2020, Bonifazi was loaned out to Udinese in the Serie A where he played an important part of their squad – making 30 first team appearances in the 2020 - 2021 season. After a season out on loan, he was eventually transferred to Bologna in the Serie A in July 2021 for a fee of around £5.4m. He has so far made 36 first team appearances in league matches for Bologna spread over multiple seasons.
Bonifazi’s career has been characterised by periods of loans - he spent part of the 2023 - 2024 season with Frosinone in the Serie B, and immediately after returning to Bologna in June 2024, he was loaned out to Lecce in the Serie A for the 2024 - 2025 season. Another loan spell followed, this time with Sassuolo in the Serie A in February 2025, before he eventually returned to Bologna in June 2025. As it stands in the 2025 - 2026 season, Bonifazi has so far made no first team appearances for Bologna.
