Born on the 3rd of October, 1996 (now aged 28), Kelechi Iheanacho hails from the heartlands of Nigeria and has carved out a career as a forward, specialising in the position of striker. Standing at 6ft (1.85m) and tipping the scales at 12st 12lb (82kg), Iheanacho cuts an imposing figure on the field. Alongside his club career, he has also donned the colours of the Nigerian national team.
In January 2014, Iheanacho made the move to England, joining Premier League titans Manchester City. According to the statistics, his debut season in 2015-2016 saw him make 26 appearances for the first team, managing to find the back of the net eight times in league matches. The following season, his appearances dipped slightly to 20, however, he still managed to contribute four goals to Manchester City's campaign.
In August 2017, Iheanacho transferred to Leicester City, a deal that saw an estimated £25m change hands. Success followed him to Leicester, with Iheanacho making 177 first team appearances across six seasons, during which time he scored 30 goals for the Foxes.
July 2024 heralded another move for Iheanacho, this time to Spain and LaLiga giants Sevilla. His season there, however, was short-lived and less impactful, featuring in just nine league matches. In February 2025, Iheanacho made a swift return to England, joining Championship side Middlesbrough on loan. There, he made 15 appearances and scored a solo goal. Come June 2025, Iheanacho returned from his loan spell back to Sevilla.
Looking to the future, Iheanacho's next move was still to be decided as of September 2025. Nonetheless, where ever he ends up, the striker will be looking to add to his illustrious career and continue to find the back of the net.
