In July 2015, Dolberg made a notable move from Silkeborg to Ajax in the Eredivisie in Netherlands. Costing only a comparably modest fee of around £230k, he proved his value with successive stellar seasons. His career at Ajax was punctuated by vital goals and significant appearances. Yet, in August 2019, he made a move from Ajax to Nice in the Ligue 1 in France for a hefty fee of approximately £19m.
His time in France saw him continue bearing fruit as a consistent player. Following two seasons at Nice, he moved onto Sevilla in the LaLiga in Spain on a loan in August 2022. This was a brief stint as he then transferred to 1899 Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga in Germany on another loan spell in January 2023.
Dolberg’s journey continued with a transfer to Anderlecht in the Pro League in Belgium in July 2023. Costing around £4.3m, he proved himself yet again, scoring a remarkable number of goals over two seasons. His stint in Belgium ended as he transferred back to Ajax in the Eredivisie in Netherlands in September 2025. This move, made for about £8.7m, has seen Dolberg once again return to an old hunting ground.
On an international level, Dolberg has made appearances in World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024 - 2026 for Denmark, as well as representing his country at Euro 2024. He also featured in Euro Qualifiers 2022 - 2024 and in Nations League 2024 - 2025. He most recently appeared in Champions League 2025 - 2026 for Ajax.
All these endeavours serve as a testament to Dolberg's skill, tenacity and importance on both club and national team levels.
