Here's a wee diddy worth mentioning: a certain Kai Fotheringham. Born on the 18th of April 2003, which, unless my abacus is playing tricks on me, makes him all of 21 years old. A sprightly Scottish lad, he plays primarily as a right winger for what I'd hazard to guess is his favourite club, Dundee United, for now at least. The lad stands 5ft 6in (1.69m if you swing that way), and weighs in at 10st 5lb (a whopping 66kg for those of you still in school).
If numerology be your hobby, you'll want to remember the number 18 - that's the jersey number young Fotheringham sports. According to the fearfully accurate Transfermarkt, Fotheringham's market value is knocking around the £319k mark. But don't get too attached should you be planning a real-life game of Football Manager, as his contract is up for expiration come the 31 of May, 2025.
The lad's had a bit of a nomadic life so far, playing musical chairs with the clubs. He joined Dundee United as a green behind the ear trainee in July 2018. And then, in March 2021, he was shipped off to Falkirk on some kind of footballing odyssey, only to return in June the same year. Dundee appreciated his talent and potential so much, they then sent him off again, this time to Raith Rovers in July 2021, only to have him back by October.
Not satisfied with his collection of jerseys, Fotheringham then decided to switch up his greenery to the colours of Cove Rangers in February 2022, and returned back to Dundee United by June of the same year, ensuring his suitcase stayed well-used. His travelling bug still not satisfied, he then did a brief stint at Stirling Albion starting from August 2022.
For the mathematicians among you, this means the lad's bounced around more clubs than a golf caddy, still barely managed a proper foothold at Dundee United with a total of 58 appearances and a dozen goals over the seasons. That said, he did manage 15 appearances and five goals for Stirling Albion, so the lad's evident talent isn't completely lost in transit. Wouldn't it be bloody nice if someone gave the boy a permanent postcode?
