Julian Eskesen, born on 16 March 1999, is a well-respected name in the realm of football hailing from Denmark. Today, at the age of 26, he is best known for his impact in the midfield, particularly as a central midfielder for Dundee United. Standing at a balanced 5ft 8in (1.75m) and weighing in at a solid 10st 9lb (68kg), Eskesen brings an undeniable presence to the pitch while donning the number 10 jersey.
His career kicked off in earnest back in July 2016 when he joined Odense BK in the Superliga in Denmark as a trainee. A poised previous season 2017-2018 saw Eskesen making three first team appearances in league matches. Eskesen's time at Odense BK continued with a flourish, resulting in 19 first team outings the following season and 5 in 2019-2020.
Come January 2020, Eskesen found new pastures at Sonderjyske in the Superliga in Denmark. His first season yielded five first team appearances in league matches, a tally he vastly improved the following season, playing 32 times in the first team. His 2021-2022 season saw him score 13 first team appearances in league matches.
March 2022 signalled another change, this time representing a move from Sonderjyske to Haugesund in the Eliteserien in Norway. While the transfer fee remains undisclosed, Eskesen demonstrated his worth throughout the 2022 season with 26 first team appearances and netting three goals. He continued to make significant contributions over the next three seasons, scoring a total of five goals across 59 appearances, before transferring to Dundee United in the Premiership in Scotland in August 2025, once again for an undisclosed fee.
In the current 2025-2026 season at Dundee United, Eskesen has already made eight first team appearances in league matches. Besides his league antics, he has also had a taste of the League Cup, making one appearance as a substitute.
