Josip Misic, born on 28 June 1994 (age 32), is a Croatian defensive midfielder with Dinamo Zagreb. He is primarily used at the base of midfield, a role that tends to reward steadiness more than spectacle, which is no bad thing.
His development was helped by early loan football, giving him senior minutes before he settled into a more established rhythm. The standout league return of his career came at PAOK in 2019–20, when he scored five times in 26 appearances – productive enough for a player whose main work is usually done a few yards deeper.
Misic is now back in Croatia with Dinamo Zagreb, where he remains part of the first-team picture. In 2026–27, he has made four HNL appearances. His current market value is around £2m, according to Transfermarkt.
His career has been built around useful, senior midfield service rather than noise: early loan grounding, a productive spell in Greece, and an established role at Dinamo Zagreb.
