Josh Clarke, born on 28 July 2004 (age 22), is a Northern Irish goalkeeper whose Scottish career began with a move to Celtic from Glenavon in August 2022. That early Celtic connection matters, though his senior football would take shape elsewhere rather than at Lennoxtown.
He left Celtic for Partick Thistle in July 2026, and it is Firhill that has carried the clearest weight in his career so far. Clarke made 33 league appearances for Partick across one season, a substantial enough spell to stand apart from the shorter stops around it.
There was also a brief league appearance for Airdrieonians in 2023-24, but the broader pattern is clear enough: Celtic was the starting point in Scotland, Partick Thistle became the main body of work.
Clarke is now with Doncaster Rovers. In 2026-27 he has made one League Cup appearance and two EFL Trophy appearances, giving him three senior outings for the club across all competitions.
