With a current market value of around €400k (approximately £338k), according to Transfermarkt, Jorge is nearing the end of his contract with Hearts. His time with the Edinburgh club is slated to conclude on the 31st of May, 2025, a mere three months from now.
Jorge kicked off his professional career at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League in July 2014. In his debut season, he made a solitary first team appearance in league matches. However, his playing time gradually increased over the course of his spell, with a total of 17 appearances across the next two seasons.
In a bid to gain more frequent first-team football, Grant secured a loan move to Notts County in League Two in January 2017. He found the net six times in his 17 appearances. The following season, he featured 28 times for Notts County, improving his scoring tally significantly to 14.
Subsequent loan moves saw Jorge venture to Luton Town in the Championship in July 2018, and then to Mansfield Town in League One in January 2019. His performances caught the eye of Lincoln City, and he secured a permanent move in July 2019, albeit for an undisclosed transfer sum.
After two years at Lincoln City, a move to Peterborough United materialised in July 2021, following yet another undisclosed transfer deal. Jorge's consistency was evident as he made 26 appearances and netted a pair of goals.
A year later, Grant embarked on the challenge of Scottish football, moving north to Edinburgh-based Hearts in the Premiership. His impact was immediate, as he scored twice in his inaugural campaign from 28 appearances. Jorge's influence grew in the following season, contributing four goals from 27 appearances. The current season, 2024-2025, so far has seen Jorge make 24 appearances and score thrice.
Added to his league contributions, Jorge has made his presence felt in the domestic cup competitions and in Europe. In the 2024-2025 season, he made one appearance in the League Cup, and took part in both the Scottish Cup and the Europa League Qualifiers. His performances in the latter eventually saw Hearts participate in the Conference League, where they could benefit from Jorge's experience across four substitute appearances.
