Jonjoe Kenny was born in Kirkdale, Liverpool, on 15 March 1997 (age 29), and came through at Everton before his career began to spread beyond Merseyside. An English right-back, he joined Celtic from Everton in February 2021, arriving during a season when little around the club felt especially settled.
His Celtic spell was short, but it remains a clear marker in his career rather than a footnote. Kenny was brought in to fill a practical need on the right side of defence, and his time in Glasgow was more functional than memorable. That is not always a criticism; sometimes a player simply passes through a difficult side and does the job asked of him.
