Jonathan Rowe, born on 30 April 2003, is a promising English forward recognised for his adeptness as a left winger. Currently strutting his stuff for Bologna, the 5ft 8in (1.73m) talent, tipping the scales at around 10st 7lb (67kg), proudly dons the number 11 jersey. Beyond his club commitments, Rowe has also showcased his abilities internationally, having represented England U21s.
As per Transfermarkt, Rowe's vibrant performance on the pitch has carried his market value to a respectable £13.5m.
In July 2014, Rowe's journey began professionally as a trainee at Norwich City in the Championship. His first taste of the senior squad came in the 2021-2022 season, making 13 appearances. The following season, he only had three outings, but the 2023-2024 season saw Rowe find his footing, making 32 appearances and contributing a substantial 12 goals.
By August 2024, Rowe had secured a loan move to Ligue 1 outfit, Marseille. In his debut season (2024-2025), he featured in 28 matches, finding the back of the net thrice. The 2025-2026 season has so far seen him make one appearance.
Such were Rowe's performances for Marseille during his loan spell that they decided to secure his services permanently in July 2025. The Canaries accepted a transfer fee of around £13m, and thus Rowe bid farewell to Norwich City. In his first official season as a Marseille player (2024-2025), Rowe made the same number of appearances (28) and goals (3) as during his loan period. So far, in the current season (2025-2026), he has made one appearance.
In a surprising turn of events, Marseille let their new acquisition move to Bologna in the Serie A for a reported fee of around £15m in August 2025. To date, in the ongoing 2025-2026 season, Rowe has made 12 first team appearances for his new club.
Beyond his league duties, Rowe has also competed in a variety of other fixtures. He participated in the 2025-2026 Coppa Italia for Bologna, managing to notch a goal in his only start. Additionally, he represented England U21s in the 2025 UEFA U21 Qualifiers, scoring two goals in three starts and three substitute appearances. For Bologna, he had two substitute appearances in the 2025-2026 Supercoppa and played in five Europa League matches, scoring once.
