Jonah Kusi-Asare, born on the 4th of July 2007 in Sweden, is a formidable forward leading the line for Bayern Munich. Towering at 6ft 5in (1.96m) and weighing 13st 3lb (84kg), it's not surprising that he stands his ground on the pitch. When he takes the field, the sight of Kusi-Asare proudly wearing the number 41 jersey is a familiar one to the club's faithful.
With a market worth approximately around £2.1m, as reported by Transfermarkt, Kusi-Asare is indeed a player of importance in the broader perspective of football. His contract with the German powerhouse is slated to remain intact until the 30th of June, 2026, with about one year and five months left on it.
Before moving to Bayern Munich, Kusi-Asare embarked on his footballing journey at home in Sweden with AIK, in the Allsvenskan. This was in January 2023. His debut season the same year saw him getting a taste of the first team in four league matches - a good start for a future star.
His time at AIK, however, was short-lived. The young Swede moved from AIK to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga in Germany for a fee of around £3.9m in February 2024. Now in his second season (2024 - 2025) with Bayern Munich, Kusi-Asare is yet to don his number 41 jersey in a league match. Only time will tell how fruitful this relationship will be.
