Joel Mvuka, born on 12 November 2002 (age 23), is a Norwegian right winger whose senior career first came into focus at Bodo Glimt. His most productive league season there came in 2023, when he scored three goals in 12 appearances – a modest return, but a useful marker for a wide player still building his game.
His route then took him to Lorient, before Celtic brought him in from the French club in February 2026. The move gave Celtic another wide option rather than a ready-made headline act, which is probably the healthier way to view it.
His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt. At this stage, Mvuka’s career is still relatively early: Bodo Glimt gave him his first clear platform, Lorient was the next step, and Celtic is now the club where he has to turn promise into regular substance.
