Joel Mvuka, born on 12 November 2002 (age 23), is a Norwegian right winger who joined Celtic from Lorient in February 2026. His market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His early senior football included a productive spell at Bodo Glimt, where his best league return came in 2023 with three goals in 12 appearances. That was enough to mark him out as a wide player with a bit of end product, without needing the usual auction-house language attached to any young winger with pace.
Mvuka moved on to Lorient, where he made 15 Ligue 1 appearances in the 2025–26 season before his switch to Celtic. He did not score in the league during that run, but his form was strong and consistent, which helps explain why Celtic were prepared to bring him in during the February window.
At this stage, Mvuka’s career is still taking shape: Bodo Glimt gave him his first real platform, Lorient put him into a stronger league, and Celtic now have the next part of his development.
