Joel Mvuka, a Norwegian forward born on 12th November 2002, currently wields his craft as a right winger for Celtic. Standing at 5ft 8in (1.73m) and weighing 10st 3lb (65kg), Mvuka dons the jersey marked with the number 32. His current market value stands roughly at around £1.7m, as indicated by Transfermarkt.
In August 2021, Mvuka began his professional career with Asane in the OBOS-ligaen, before transferring to Bodo Glimt in the Eliteserien, both located in his home country of Norway. His debut at Bodo Glimt in 2021 saw him making eight first team appearances in league matches. The following year, his involvement grew, with 26 appearances and a netting of two goals. In his third and final season at Bodo Glimt in 2023, Mvuka made 12 first team appearances and scored three goals.
The next leg of Mvuka's journey saw him swapping the chill of Norway for the charm of France, transferring to Lorient in Ligue 1 in July 2023 for a reported fee of £5.5m. His tenure at Lorient saw him making a total of 52 first team appearances over two and a half seasons, and scoring three goals.
In an unexpected twist, January 2024 saw Mvuka on the move again, this time to Switzerland's Super League stalwarts, Young Boys Bern, albeit on a loan deal. During this period, Mvuka made 16 first team appearances and scored twice.
On completion of his loan spell, Mvuka returned to Lorient in June 2024, where he went on to make further appearances before eventually switching to the Hoops; his current home, Celtic, in the Scottish Premiership in February 2026.
In a rather underwhelming start to his time at Celtic, Mvuka is yet to make a first-team appearance in the league. On a brighter note, he has had one start and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026 season.
