Joe Ellison, born in the verdant pastures of Scotland on the 27th June, 2006, this young lad of 18 years, is busy carving a name for himself in the game he was seemingly destined to play, football. Holding a central midfield role, Ellison is a fulcrum in the heart of St Johnstone's motley formation, donning the number 40 jersey with utmost pride.
Less offensive than he'd might like to be, Ellison's primary responsibilities lie in defence, owing to his position as a defensive midfielder. It's a challenging role, guarding the fortress in the centre while orchestrating the symphony of play from the middle, yet it is one that he executes with finesse and charm.
Unfortunately, it was not meant to be for a long-term stint with Celtic as his talent was needed elsewhere. The Celtic fans surely miss his youthful exuberance and tenacity on the field, however, has moved on to make a name for himself in the ranks of St Johnstone's squad.
