João Marques, born on 13 February 2002 (age 24), is a Portuguese left winger now with União Torreense. His current market value is around £2.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His most substantial football has come at Estoril, where he made 43 league appearances across two seasons. The 2023–24 campaign was the clear high point, with five league goals in 32 appearances, giving him a proper run at senior level rather than the stop-start rhythm that often marks a young wide player’s early years.
At União Torreense in 2026–27, Marques has made nine appearances across all competitions, including league, Liga Portugal 2, UEFA under-21 qualifying, relegation play-off and Europa League involvement. His form this season has been solid and consistent. For now, his career remains shaped chiefly by that Estoril spell, with Torreense the next stage rather than the main chapter.
