Portugal's own João Carvalho, born 9th April 2004 and currently 21 years of age, is the exceptional goalkeeper signing of SC Braga. Towering at a height of 6ft 3in (1.92m) and a weight of 12st 3lb (78kg), João, also known as 'João Carvalho' Carapinha Carvalho, dons the number 78 jersey and has also done his country proud by representing the Portugal U21 national team.

In July 2020, João embarked on his professional football journey when he joined SC Braga's training programme in the Liga Portugal.
