Born on the 13th of December, 2003 in the vibrant nation of Colombia, Jhon Durán is a gifted forward who presently plies his trade in Turkey, for Fenerbahce. Standing 6ft 1in tall (1.86m) and weighing around 13st (83kg), Durán is an imposing figure on the field, particularly when sporting the number 10 jersey. In addition to his club career, Durán has had the honour of representing his country, Colombia, on the international stage.
Jhon Durán's current market value stands roughly at a substantial £34m, as noted by Transfermarkt. His contract with Fenerbahce is set to run until the 30th of June, 2030, giving the man ample time to demonstrate his worth.
Durán kicked off his professional career back in January 2019 with Envigado in the Colombian Primera A. He steadily honed his skills and developed his game over three seasons, gradually increasing his goal tally each year. In his inaugural 2019 season, Durán made nine first team appearances, managing to find the back of the net once. The young talent continued to impress, with a rising goal count and growing prominence in the squad over the subsequent seasons.
In a promising leap to Chicago Fire in the Major League Soccer (MLS) of the USA, Durán was transferred for a reported fee of around £1.6m in January 2022. His debut season saw him making 27 first team appearances and scoring eight goals.
Durán's journey then took an interesting turn as he landed on British soil, transferring for a sum of £18m to Aston Villa in the acclaimed English Premier League in January 2023. Over a span of three seasons, Durán made significant contributions in terms of appearances and goals.
However, in January 2025, Durán, sold to Al-Nassr in the Saudi Professional League, marked one of the more surprising career moves in recent times. The transfer, a massive £71m deal, appeared lucrative, however, saw Durán on the pitch for just 13 games, scoring eight goals before hitting the road once more.
Currently, Durán is out on loan to Fenerbahce in the Turkish Süper Lig as of July 2025, nevertheless, first team appearances in the ongoing season are yet to be accounted for.
Off the club circuit and onto international duty, Durán has been part of the Colombian squad participating in multiple competitions, including the South American World Cup Qualifiers for 2024 - 2026, where he managed two goals in nine appearances, and the Copa America 2024 where he made one appearance.
