Jeyland Mitchell was born in Costa Rica on 29 September 2004, making him a disciplined 20-year-old as of this writing. Mitchell is known for being a fundamental part of the defence, particularly as a central defender for Feyenoord. Holder of the number 20 jersey, Mitchell cuts an intimidating figure on the field with his stature of 6ft 1in (1.87m) and lean mass of 12st 12lb (82kg).
Outside of his club duties, Mitchell has had the honour of being selected to represent Costa Rica's national team, demonstrating the potential this young lad possesses.
Reliable sources from Transfermarkt estimate his current market value at a considerable €2.00m, or around £1.7m when converted into the Queen's tender.
Still fresh in his career, in his debut season of 2024 - 2025 at Feyenoord in the Netherlands, Mitchell was able to grace the field for just one first team appearance. Currently, in the season of 2025 - 2026, he has yet to make a first team appearance.
Mitchell has not let his limited club appearances deter him though, as his international play has been notably more active. Highlights include the World Cup Qualifiers in North & Central America from 2024 - 2026 for Costa Rica, where he had two starts and managed to score his first international goal. His other engagements for Costa Rica have included the Gold Cup in 2025 where he started three times, and the Copa America in 2024, where he also started three matches. Within his club, he had made an appearance as a substitute in the KNVB Beker for Feyenoord in the 2024 - 2025 season.
