Jérôme Prior, born in Bertry, France on 8th August 1995, is a 30-year-old goalkeeper currently plying his trade for Livingston in the Scottish Premiership. A physically imposing figure between the sticks, Prior stands at 6ft 1in (1.87m) tall and tips the scales at 13st 7lb (86kg). The shot-stopper brings an aura of confidence to his teammates in the backline, adorning the number 28 jersey for the Lions.

In July 2013, Prior made the move to French side Bordeaux, competing in the Championnat National. He improved the following season with 14 first-team outings, however, his game time was drastically reduced in the 2017/18 season, as he only saw action in two league matches.
In the summer of 2019, Prior transferred from Bordeaux to Valenciennes, again in the Championnat National. The keeper's career seemed to reignite during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, where he racked up a combined 59 appearances in league matches for the French side.
Prior's first taste of football outside France came in August 2021, as he transferred to Spanish outfit Cartagena, in the Second Division B/1. His stint in Spain was relatively short-lived, as he only made two first-team appearances in league matches during the 2021/22 season.
After only half a season in Spain, Prior was on the move again, this time to PAS Giannina in the Greek Football League. Prior saw limited playing time again, making only three appearances in league matches during the 2022/23 season.
In the winter transfer window of 2023, Prior returned to French football with Pau FC in Ligue 2. The keeper saw a fair amount of action, making 11 appearances for the French side in the remaining season.
After only half a season with Pau FC, Prior seems to have disappeared off the footballing map briefly in June 2023, with no record of a transfer to another club.
Prior's journeyman career led him to Scottish shores in July 2024, as he joined Livingston. Since his arrival, the keeper has been a regular feature for the Scottish side, with 33 appearances in his debut season and three appearances so far in the current 2025/26 season. Prior has also competed in various cup competitions for Livingston, with five starts in the League Cup, three in the Scottish Cup, and four in the Premiership Play-offs.
