Born in the Netherlands on the 10th of December in the year 2000, Jeremie Frimpong is known for his talents as a defender. Primarily deployed as a right back for Liverpool, Frimpong stands at 5 feet 8 inches (1.74 metres) and weighs 11 stone (70KG). Further contributing to his football prowess, Frimpong has represented his home country, the Netherlands, at an international level.
As a younger player, Frimpong travelled to England in July 2015 to join Manchester City as a trainee in the Premier League. It was a significant step in this young Dutchman's career, giving him invaluable experience in one of the world's most renowned football leagues.
However, it was in September 2019 that Frimpong would make a significant move north to Scotland to join Celtic, with a transfer fee of around £350k. His debut season (2019 - 2020) at Celtic saw him make 14 first team appearances and even score two goals in league matches. By the following season (2020 - 2021), Frimpong's presence at Celtic was clear to see, given his 22 first team appearances and the one goal he scored.
With what could be described as a successful chapter at Celtic now behind him, Frimpong was transferred to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany's Bundesliga in January 2021 for a hefty fee of around £12m. At Leverkusen, Frimpong seemed to find his stride, making a significant number of first team appearances each season and scoring various goals over the course of several years.
On the international stage, Frimpong is no stranger. He took part in the Euro 2024 for the Netherlands, making one start and two appearances as a substitute. For the Euro Qualifiers between 2022 - 2024 for the kingdom, he made one appearance off the bench. He also participated in the Nations League from 2024 - 2025, acquiring three starts and two appearances as a substitute.
