Jayden Meghoma, born on 28 June 2006 (age 20), is an English left-back now with Portsmouth, where he wears the number 16 shirt. His market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
For all that he is still early in his career, Meghoma’s senior profile is shaped most clearly by Rangers. His 2025-26 league season there brought 29 appearances and one goal, comfortably the main body of work in his career so far. A young full-back getting regular minutes at Ibrox is not nothing, even if one need not enjoy saying so.
He has since moved on to Portsmouth, making four Championship appearances in 2026-27. His form this season has been solid, though he has been out of the matchday squad in recent weeks.
Meghoma remains a developing player, with Rangers providing the substance of his career to this point and Portsmouth the next stage of it. The shape is straightforward enough: regular football in Glasgow, then a step into the English Championship.
