Jake Doyle-Hayes, born on the 30th of December 1998, is a skilled midfielder who has proven his calibre primarily in the position of a central defensive midfielder. Currently attached to Hibernian, he is known for his commanding presence on the pitch with all of 1.8m (5 ft 10 in) height and bulk of 78kg (12 st 3 lb). Reflecting his importance for the team, he sports the coveted number 8 jersey.
Starting off as a trainee in July 2014, Doyle-Hayes became part of Villa in the Premier League, marking his foray in English football. Embarking on different stints thereafter, he was loaned out by Villa to Cambridge United (League One) in January 2019 and then to Cheltenham Town (League Two) in August 2019.
However, a significant change of scene came for Doyle-Hayes in November 2020, when he swapped Villa in the Premier League for St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership. His debut season (2020 - 2021) at St Mirren saw him hit the ground running, making 22 first team appearances and netting one goal in league matches.
July 2021 marked another chapter in Doyle-Hayes's career when he transferred from St Mirren to Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership. His journey with Hibernian has been commendable so far. Throughout the 2021 - 2022 season, he made 34 first team appearances and scored two noteworthy goals in league matches. The following season, the 2022 - 2023, he remained consistent with 17 first team appearances in league matches. The trend continued with his significant involvement in the first team, making one appearance each in the 2023-2024 and the in-progress 2024-2025 seasons.
