Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, born on 11 April 2005 (age 21), is an English central defender whose early senior steps came at Manchester City. He made two league appearances there in 2024-25 before a Celtic connection followed, joining the club from City in August 2025.
His career has since been shaped most clearly by Cologne. Across two seasons with the German club he has made 18 league appearances, including seven Bundesliga appearances in 2026-27. That is the body of work that gives his profile most of its weight, rather than the brief earlier stops around it.
Simpson-Pusey is valued at around £5m by Transfermarkt. His career to date is a fairly straightforward one: a Manchester City start, a short Celtic link in the middle, and a more substantial run at Cologne.
