Jack Aitchison, born on 5 March 2000 in Scotland, is a 24-year old forward who primarily plays as a striker for Exeter City. Standing at 5ft 10in tall (1.8m) and weighing 11st (70kg), Aitchison sports the number 10 jersey on his back.
Aitchison's football career began back in July 2015, when he joined Celtic in the Scottish Premiership as a trainee. Marking his debut season of 2015-2016 with Celtic, Aitchison managed to make one first team appearance, scoring a single goal in league matches. His next season, 2016-2017, saw a similar pattern at Celtic, with two first team appearances.
In the ensuing years, Aitchison made several moves across different clubs. In August 2018, he found himself transferred from Celtic to Dumbarton in Scotland's League One division on loan. A similar loan arrangement occurred in January 2019, this time to Alloa Athletic, and then to England's Forest Green Rovers in September 2019.
In October 2020, Aitchison fully transferred from Celtic to Barnsley in England's League One division. His 2022-2023 season with Barnsley in England, witnessed him on the field for 20 first team appearances, contributing three goals in league matches. A brief loan interlude at Stevenage followed, before he returned to Barnsley in June 2021. Once back in Barnsley, Aitchison continued to show his football prowess, making 20 first team appearances and scoring three goals in league matches.
In July 2021, Aitchison had another stint with Forest Green Rovers in the National League in England on loan, before returning to Barnsley in June 2022. Following this, he made a brief jaunt north of the border, transferring to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership in January 2023, where he made ten first team appearances in league matches.
As of July 2023, Aitchison has been playing for Exeter City in England's League One division. During the current 2024-2025 season, he has clocked up eight appearances in first team league matches. He has also shown his mettle in the League Cup 2024-2025 for Exeter City, making one appearance as a substitute, and proving his worth in the EFL Trophy 2024-2025 for Exeter City, by scoring one goal in one start.
