Innes Cameron, born on 22nd August 2000, is a Scotsman who currently plays as a forward, specifically a striker, for Kilmarnock football club. He is quite the figure on the pitch, measuring 6ft 2in (1.9m) tall and weighing in at 12st 8lb (80kg). This imposing presence is further emphasised by his sporting the number 18 jersey when he runs out onto the field.
His career in the Scottish Premier League began in July 2016 when he joined Kilmarnock. His first season (2016 - 2017) saw him make his entry into team appearances with two showings in league matches. There was a marginal increase during the following season (2017 - 2018) where he managed to participate in three league matches.
The young lad then took a bit of a detour in his career, as in September 2018, he transferred from Kilmarnock to Stranraer in the League Two on loan, though he returned to Kilmarnock in June of the following season, contributing once again to their campaign in the 2019 - 2020 season.
Cameron was loaned out again in October 2020, this time to Ayr United, returning to his home club in January 2021. In a continuous round of loan deals, Cameron spent time at Alloa Athletic from January 2021 until June 2021 and then at Queen of the South from September 2021 till January 2022.
His hard work and dedication appear to have paid off, as the seasons 2022 - 2023, 2023 - 2024 and the present 2024 - 2025 have seen him securing regular spots in the first team at Kilmarnock, making 16, 10, and 20 appearances respectively. Not only has he become a regular feature on the pitch, but he has also started to make his mark on the score sheet, having netted a goal in each season.
Aside from his league game appearances, he has helped Kilmarnock in their pursuit of European glory by making a substitute appearance in the Conference League Qualifiers for the 2024 - 2025 season - an indication of the growing faith the club has in him.
