In-beom Hwang, who was born on 20 September 1996 in the Republic of Korea is a central midfielder currently displaying his skills at Feyenoord. Standing at a humble 5ft 9in (1.77m) tall, weighing 11st (70kg) and donning the number 6 jersey, Hwang has also demonstrated his abilities on an international platform, representing his native Korea Republic.

His career began in earnest when he joined Daejeon Hana Citizen in the K League 1 of Korea Republic in January 2015. Four years and many performances later in January 2019, he ventured towards new horizons, transferring from his home country to Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS in the United States for a fee of roughly £1.4m.
During his debut season in 2019 at Vancouver Whitecaps, Hwang made quite an impact, making 34 appearances in the first team and finding the net thrice in league matches. In the following season 2020, his first team representations were reduced to just five.
Seeking fresh pastures again, Hwang transferred from Vancouver Whitecaps to Rubin Kazan in the Russian Premier League in August 2020 for a value of approximately £2.3m. Hwang moved between European clubs once again in September 2023, transferring from Greece to Serbia to champion the cause for Red Star in the SuperLiga. The fee for this transfer was around £4.7m. Proving himself, Hwang made 27 appearances and scored five times in the 2023 - 2024 season. However, in the next season, his on-pitch time was notably limited to five first team representations.
Finally, in September 2024, Hwang departed Serbia for the Netherlands, joining Feyenoord in a deal estimated around £6.8m. In his first season with Feyenoord (2024 - 2025), he participated in 21 matches and successfully hit the back of the net thrice. In the underway season (2025 - 2026), he has made one appearance so far.
Apart from his domestic exploits, Hwang has made strides on the international stage as well, representing Korea Republic in the World Cup Qualifiers Asia 2024 - 2026 with 15 starts.
