Illan Meslier, a young lad born on the 2nd of March in the year 2000, hails from the beautiful country of France and is currently serving as a goalkeeper for Leeds United Football Club. The lad boasts quite the stature standing at 6ft 5in(1.96m) and tipping the scales at 11st 9lb(74kg). The number 16 jersey is his chosen garb when he steps onto the pitch.

Fresh and eager, Meslier joined Lorient in the esteemed Ligue 1 back in July 2010 as a trainee. During his debut season at Lorient (2018 - 2019), Meslier took to the pitch in the colours of his club for a total of 28 times in league matches.
In August 2019, our lad bid adieu to Lorient to pursue a new endeavour. He transferred to Leeds United, in the top-tier Premier League in England, initially on loan.

As seasons passed, Meslier's appearances for Leeds in league matches increased; 35 in the 2020-2021 season, 38 in the 2021-2022 season, 34 in the 2022-2023 season, 44 in the 2023-2024 season, and 39 in the 2024-2025 season. Although, in the current season (2025 - 2026), he is yet to make any first team appearances in league matches.
The lad's original loan arrangement to Leeds was made permanent in July 2020, when Leeds United transferred him from Lorient for a fee of approximately £5.9m.
Since then, Meslier has been a steadfast presence in goal for Leeds, tallying numerous first team league appearances each season, contributing to the club's Premier League journey.
