Harry Sharp, born on the 4th of April, 2001, is a Scottish goalkeeper known for his time at Dundee. Currently 23 years old, Sharp possesses an imposing figure in goal standing at 6ft 2in (1.89m) and weighing 12st 10lb (81kg). He is easily identifiable on the pitch with the number 30 jersey.
His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is approximately £85k, a reasonable price for a goalkeeper of his skill and promise. And as it happens, he is set to become a free agent soon as his contract with Dundee expires on the 31st of May, 2025.
Sharp joined Dundee as a trainee in July 2017 and has since been climbing the footballing ladder at a steady pace. Throughout his first four seasons at Dundee, from 2021 to 2025, he made a total of 14 first-team appearances, albeit only one appearance in the 2023-2024 season.
In July of 2020, the goalkeeper took a temporary leave from Dundee to Edinburgh City, a team competing in the lower-tier League Two in Scotland. But after a short loan spell, he returned to Dundee in February 2021.
Undeterred by relatively sparse opportunities, Sharp sought additional game time and experience by transferring on loan to Dunfermline Athletic in the Championship in August 2023. He managed to accumulate eight first-team appearances in the 2023-2024 season before returning to Dundee in January 2024.
Despite a challenging start to his career, this young lad exhibits a commendable resilience and commitment to his craft. As he stands at the brink of free agency, one can only speculate where we'll see Harry Sharp's name next, but one thing's for sure: potential buyers will be getting a dedicated goalkeeper with room to grow.
