Greg Taylor, born in Greenock on 5 November 1997 (age 28), is a Scotland left-back whose career is shaped overwhelmingly by his six years at Celtic. He joined from Kilmarnock in September 2019 and became a familiar, dependable part of the side rather than a passing squad name.
Across six seasons at Celtic, Taylor made 156 league appearances and scored six league goals. His most productive league campaign came in 2022-2023, when he scored three times in 31 appearances. He was never the most glamorous player in the team, but his value was usually found in the less showy parts of the job: positioning, concentration, and understanding what Celtic needed from the role.
In July 2025, Taylor left Celtic for PAOK. He has since featured regularly enough in Greece, making 12 Super League appearances in 2025-2026, along with appearances in Europa League qualifying and the Europa League proper. Across all competitions for PAOK, he has made 15 appearances without scoring.
His current market value is around £4.5m, according to Transfermarkt. Taylor’s career has taken him from Kilmarnock to a long, substantial Celtic spell and then on to PAOK, but the core of his senior football remains the years he spent at left-back in Glasgow.
