George Stanger, hailing from Scotland, was born on 15 August 2000, leading him to be a ripe 25 years of age. A robust lad standing at 1.91m (6ft 3in) and weighing in at 80kg (12st 8lb), George has carved out his place as a central defender in the world of football. Currently part of the line-up at Kilmarnock, he is seen donning the number 14 jersey on the pitch. George's market value currently resides at around €125k (£107k), according to Transfermarkt.
Retracing his career, George's steps led him in January 2018 to traverse the pitch for Stirling Albion, on loan from Hamilton Academical. Despite his limited tenure, he managed two first team appearances in league matches for the 2017 - 2018 season. Following the completion of his loan, Stanger returned to Hamilton Academical in June 2018. Over the next two seasons, Stanger chalked up a modest six first team appearances in league matches.
In September 2019, he found his cleats crunching the pitch for East Kilbride, once again on loan from Hamilton Academical. He returned to his parent club in January 2020, maintaining the same playing and scoring record as in his previous stints. George's journey continued as he stepped onto the pitch for Forfar Athletic in January 2020, this time on loan yet again. With the conclusion of his tenure at Forfar Athletic in June 2020, he trotted back to Hamilton Academical, over the course of which he ensured his presence was felt in a handful of league matches.
In a move that saw Stanger venture beyond the familiar terrains of the League One, October 2021 saw him transfer from Hamilton Academical to University of Stirling in the East of Scotland League. In February 2022, another loan spell ensued at Dumbarton and he finally transferred to Alloa Athletic in July 2022. He hit his stride with the club, making 25 first team appearances and scoring three goals in league matches during the 2022 - 2023 season.
A year later in July 2023, Stanger relocated his kit bag from Alloa Athletic to Ayr United in the Championship. Over the next two seasons, he managed a cumulative 62 first team appearances and netted four goals in his tally. His journey, ambitious as ever, led him to Kilmarnock in the Premiership in July 2025. For the current 2025 - 2026 season, George has already made three first-team appearances and scored once in league matches.
Beyond the league matches, George represented Kilmarnock in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 starting four matches, further adding feathers to his cap as a tenacious and dedicated footballer.
