Fran Navarro, born on the 3rd of February 1998 in Spain, is a dynamic forward who currently plies his trade as a bonny striker for SC Braga, donning the 39 jersey. Standing there at 6ft (1.84m) tall, he weighs in at 12st 1lb (77kg) giving him a physical edge on the pitch.
Navarro kicked off his football journey with Valencia in the LaLiga in 2014 as a promising trainee. After developing his striking prowess over time, he transferred from Valencia to Gil Vicente in Portugal's Liga in July 2021 for an undisclosed fee. His debut season in Portugal (2021 - 2022) saw him making an impressive 32 first team appearances and netting 16 goals in league matches. The subsequent season (2022 - 2023) only proved his consistency, featuring in 34 matches and raising the goal tally to 17.
The lad's performance caught the eye of another Portuguese outfit, FC Porto, and he was snapped up in July 2023 for a transfer fee close to £6m, according to Transfermarkt. However, his playing time in Porto seemed more limited, with only ten league appearances across two seasons punctuated by a loan spell at Olympiacos in Greece for the latter half of the 2023 - 2024 season where he made 16 appearances and scored five goals.
Returning to Porto in July 2024 upon completing his loan, Navarro found himself on the move again within six months, transferring on loan to SC Braga in January 2025. He scored four goals in his ten appearances that half-season for Braga. The 2025 - 2026 season saw Navarro secure a permanent transfer to Braga for a fee of around £2.3m. So far, he's made his presence felt with two first team appearances and one goal, and it’s only the early stages of the season.
Beyond league football, Navarro has also proven his mettle on the European stage, participating in the 2025 - 2026 Europa League Qualifiers with SC Braga. He found the net once in five starts and a lone substitute appearance, outlining his capability at the continental level. As it stands, his current market value is estimated to be about £5m, hinting at the promise and potential he carries within.
