Filip Twardzik was born in Trinec, Czechia, on 10 February 1993 (age 33), and came through at Celtic as a trainee. His early connection with the club is the starting point of the story rather than the bulk of it, with his career taking shape mostly after he left Glasgow.
He moved from Celtic to Bolton Wanderers in February 2015, then worked through spells with Karvina, Spartak Trnava and LASK. His most productive league season came at MFK Ružomberok in 2019-20, when he scored seven goals in 23 appearances – useful output for a player whose main role has generally been at left-back.
Twardzik is now with Spartak Trnava, wearing squad number 56. His market value is around £106,000, according to Transfermarkt. It has been a career that began at Celtic, moved quickly into the English game, and then settled into central European football.
