Born on the 30th of August, 2000, in Serbia, Filip Stuparević is a 25-year-old footballer who primarily serves as a forward for Motherwell, where he dons the number 17 jersey. Standing at 1.84m (6ft) and weighing in at 75kg (11st 11lb), Filip is a notable presence on the field. His latest market value is estimated to be around £300k, based on records from Transfermarkt.
Stuparević started his career in July 2016 as a trainee at Voždovac, a football club in the First League in Serbia. Over the course of three seasons from 2016 to 2019, he made a cumulative 69 first team appearances and scored a total of ten goals in league matches.
His performance at Voždovac caught the attention of Watford in England, leading to his transfer in January 2019 for an approximated fee of £2m. However, within the same month, he was loaned back to Voždovac where he continued his striking performances.
In September 2019, Stuparević was loaned to 1. FK Příbram in the Czech Republic's National Football League, where he made nine first-team appearances. This brief stint was followed by another loan period back to Voždovac in Serbia in February 2020.
Filip transferred from Watford to Metalac Gornji Milanovac, another First League club in Serbia, in August 2021. Here, he made 27 appearances and managed to net four goals in the 2021-2022 season. Shortly after, in 2022, he was transferred again; this time to Al-Orooba, a Division 1 club in the UAE.
Within roughly a year, in September 2023, Stuparević moved from Al-Orooba to Domžale in Slovenia's PrvaLiga. He showed consistent performance by making 23 first-team appearances and scoring six goals in the 2023-2024 season.
In July 2024, Stuparević was transferred to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership. However, he made no appearances in the ongoing 2025-2026 season. Shortly after his transfer to Motherwell in September 2024, he found himself on loan at Greenock Morton, a Championship club in Scotland. Here he clocked up 16 appearances and pocketed five goals during the 2024-2025 season.
On completion of his loan period at Greenock Morton in June 2025, he returned to Motherwell, where he has currently not made any first-team appearances in the 2025-2026 season.
