Born on 30 August 2000 in Serbia, Filip Stuparević is a forward who principally plies his trade as a striker for Motherwell. At the age of 25, he stands 6ft tall (1.84m) and weighs in at 11st 11lb (75kg), wearing the number 17 jersey with aplomb. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value hovers around a modest £315K.
Stuparević's professional journey began earnestly in July 2016 when he joined Voždovac in the First League in Serbia as a trainee. Over the subsequent three seasons, he made a total of 69 league appearances for Voždovac, netting ten goals in the process.
His talents caught the attention of Watford, a Championship club in England, leading to a transfer in January 2019 for a sum of around £2m. His tenure at Watford, however, was largely marked by loan moves to several clubs, starting with a loan back to Voždovac. Followed by a stint at 1. FK Příbram in the National Football League in Czech Republic, and another loan dip at Voždovac.
His fortunes went through a slight shift when in August 2021, he transferred to Metalac Gornji Milanovac in Serbia. Here, during the 2021-2022 season, Stuparević chalked up 27 first team appearances and scored four goals in league matches. However, his time at Metalac Gornji Milanovac was short-lived as he travelled to the Middle East to play for Al-Orooba in the UAE's Division 1 in August 2022.
A year later, he found himself back in Europe, joining Domžale in the Slovenian PrvaLiga. For Domžale, Stuparević made 23 first team appearances, scoring six goals for the 2023-2024 season.
In July 2024, Stuparević made his way to Scotland, signing with Motherwell in the Premiership, although he is yet to make his debut in the current 2025-2026 season. A loan move to Greenock Morton in the Championship followed later in September 2024. Here, he offered a credible performance, netting five goals in 16 first team appearances.
Concluding his loan spell with Greenock Morton in June 2025, Stuparević returned to Motherwell, where he currently is contracted, eagerly awaiting to make his mark in the ongoing 2025-2026 season.
