Fikayo Tomori, born on 19 December 1997 (age 28), is an England centre-half whose career has been shaped less by a neat rise than by a useful period of movement before settling properly at AC Milan.
Those early loan spells mattered. They gave him senior football and hardened up a defender who might otherwise have stayed stuck in the usual holding pattern of a big English club. The detail now feels secondary because Milan is where the bulk of his senior career has been played.
At AC Milan, Tomori has made 164 league appearances across seven seasons, scoring six league goals. His most productive campaign in front of goal came in 2023-24, when he scored four times in 26 league appearances. For a centre-half, that is a decent return rather than a headline act.
In 2026-27, he has made five appearances across all competitions for Milan, including Serie A, the Supercoppa and the Europa League. His current market value is around £14.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Tomori’s career is now plainly centred on Milan: an England defender who developed through loans, then found his main body of work in Italy.
