Evan Ndicka, born on 20 August 1999 (age 26), is an Ivory Coast central defender with Roma. An imposing 6ft 3in (1.90m) left-sided centre-half, he wears squad number 5 and has a current market value of around £25.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His career is still shaped most clearly by Eintracht Frankfurt. Across five seasons there, Ndicka made 134 league appearances and scored 10 league goals, becoming a regular rather than a passing project. His most productive league campaign came in 2021-2022, when he scored four times in 32 appearances.
Roma took him on after that long spell in Germany, and he has remained a substantial part of their side. In 2025-2026 he has made 31 Serie A appearances and scored three league goals, with 46 appearances and five goals in all competitions for the club, including 10 in the Europa League. He has also been active internationally, making seven World Cup qualifying appearances for Ivory Coast.
Ndicka’s senior career has moved from a long, steady Eintracht Frankfurt spell into regular football at Roma, with his international role for Ivory Coast adding to a profile built on durability and first-team use rather than noise.
