Ermedin Demirović, a Bosnian-born forward, born 25th March 1998, aged 27, currently plies his trade at Stuttgart where he operates primarily as a striker. At 1.84m (6ft) tall and 74kg (11st 9lb) he is a physical presence on the pitch, wearing the number 9 shirt. Representing his nation on an international level, Demirović has won caps for the Bosnia-Herzegovina national team.
According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated at around £19m.
The journeyman forward has had a rather nomadic club career. Demirović started his professional career at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga in Germany, before transferring to Alaves in the LaLiga in Spain in July 2017. He made only three first team appearances in his debut season 2017 - 2018 at Alaves, scoring one goal.
Moving forward, Demirović embarked on a series of loan spells. He spent the 2018 - 2019 season at Sochaux-Montbéliard in the Championnat National in France, where he made 16 first team appearances and scored four goals. Subsequently, he was loaned out to Almeria in the Segunda División in Spain in January 2019. Demirović clocked up 13 first team appearances throughout the rest of that season.
In September 2019, he was loaned out yet again, this time to St. Gallen in the Super League in Switzerland. It was here Demirović started to find his scoring boots, netting 14 times during his 28 appearances for the 2019 - 2020 season.
An end to his time on loan was marked by a permanent move to Freiburg in the Bundesliga in Germany for a fee of around £3m in August 2020. Over the course of two seasons (2020 - 2022), Demirović appeared 61 times for Freiburg, scoring a total of seven goals.
The next stop on his journey, in July 2022, was another Bundesliga side, Augsburg. His goal scoring form improved significantly here, scoring a total of 23 goals in 63 appearances across two seasons (2022 - 2024).
His fine form earned him another move within the Bundesliga in July 2024, this time to Stuttgart for a fee of around £18m. Demonstrating impressive form, Demirović has notched up 22 goals in 47 appearances across the 2024 - 2025 season and the current 2025 - 2026 season.
Furthermore, Demirović has seen international duty, representing Bosnia-Herzegovina in the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024 - 2026, where he scored one goal in five starts. At club level, he showed up in the DFL-Supercup 2025 - 2026 for Stuttgart, and the Europa League 2025 - 2026, where he netted one goal from four starts and one substitute appearance.
